Like MR. Robbins has said "emotions drives you," my emotion toward my nephew, god-sister, and brother whom are mentally disabled is what drives me. To be able to help others who have their disabilities succeed as there teachers and other professionals that have helped my loved ones is what pushes me forward. Right now, I'm a student at Metropolitan College of New York not by choice, but as a finally resort. I took for granted my chance in my previous college to not use all that was given to me. I thought as if I had all the time in world to work on my career and future. However, that isn't the case. Time isn't unlimited and my life is passing me by. When I look into the eyes of my loved ones, I see their disappointment; I know that I not only did I let them down but myself. I know that for me to be in a position where I want, I have to not only put effort but my soul into everything I do. I look at those who stand by me and believe in me, and finally ask for help. I know that I can achieve my goals and if they didn't believe so as well then they wouldn't be pushing me forward. I'm taking every opportunity I receive and using it to push into that door a little bit more. It took me to hit rock bottom to want to get up and move up the ladder in my life.
